The Rauhnächte

The period after the winter solstice, when the light returns and the dark nights grow shorter, is said to possess a special magic. The laws of nature seem suspended, and the gates to other worlds are thrown open. Many customs, prophecies, and rituals revolve around the darkness, which in earlier times was far more difficult to dispel and allowed dark spirits and demons to enter. They were probably called the Rauhnächte because of the use of herbal smoke to drive away dark companions, but also to welcome blessing helpers.
However, to understand the healing message and communicate with other worlds, the ego, with its rationality and control, must be switched off. This is best achieved in sleep, for here the soul is free from body and mind. Therefore, the mystical message often reveals itself in dreams at night through the special energy between the years. But even daytime events point to the magic of the respective night. These can be clues to the release of old karma, but also anticipatory insights and visions of the future.

With luminous and soothing rituals, we will welcome each Rauhnacht, allow the restorative energy of the day to flow in, and thus open consciousness to recognizing one's own needs through dreams.
In a safe setting, we will transform the unconscious messages of the soul from the participants' dreams into yet-unrecognized potentials for inner healing. With exercises from philosophical medicine, we will let go of what burdens us and is no longer needed, so that we can recognize and find the path to inner peace and unconditional love.

The Rauhnächte begin on December 25 and end on January 6 with the 13th Rauhnacht, the Wunschrauhnacht, as a guide for the New Year. In popular parlance, they are also called the "Twelve Nights," "Lot-Nights," "Under-Nights," "Consecration Nights," or "In-Between Nights!"
